How is an auction conducted?
If you want to bid for an item, then into the "Submit a Bid" field you simply have to enter the highest amount you are willing to pay for the item of your choice. Then another window will be displayed confirming the bid you have submitted. By clicking the "Submit" button you confirm and complete the bidding procedure.
If there are other members of the Justice Authorities Auction who are submitting bids for this item, your highest bid will be increased step by step automatically until you again will be the highest bidder. Your personal highest bid will remain undisclosed to the public.
Only when another bidder will have submitted a bid that is higher than the highest bid provided by you, you shall be deemed outbid. Should no other bidding member submit a higher bid than yours, then your bid will be accepted.
Important: You will never have to pay more than your personal highest bid, instead your bid will always be increased by an increment as required to outbid other bidders.
Where do I find the Delivery Terms?
The respective Delivery Terms are provided in the bottom part of the detailed view of the item.
How do I receive the item I buy in an auction
Usually, the seller will send to you the items you have bought in an auction by mail/DHL. The buyer covers all shipping costs. You can also come and pick up the items you bought. To do this, you need to make an appointment. For detailed information on the item you have bought in an auction, please refer to the detailed view of the appropriate item.
What is the processing period for the sales transaction?
This period is a bit longer than in privately conducted auctions (up to 10 days). The reason for this lies the fact that, generally, the justice authorities process any such auction matters during the regular office hours (basically Monday through Friday from 8.00 a. m. to 4.30 p. m.). In addition, it may take a few days before the Chief Justice Cash Office (Oberjustizkasse) receives notice of effected payments.
How do I activate the "Key Word Notification"?
In the "My Profile" section click the "E-Mail-Settings" button and in "Key Word Notification" choose the option "Yes". Then click "Refresh Information".
Click now the "Key Word List" button and in "Create New Search" in the "Key Word" field enter your key word (e. g. book, computer, bracelets, Nike, Esprit etc.) and then save these settings by clicking "Save Key Word".
Please pay attention to the detailed description of the key word. Should the item name and the item description contain your key words, you will also be notified, e. g. switch clock functions.
